Plant Steak and Chickpea Socca
Jorgenz Plant Steak and Chickpea Socca

Serves: 2 people


1 cup Chickpea Flour

1 cup Water

2 Tablespoons Nutri Yeast Flakes (optional)

1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Pinch of salt

1 Cup Sliced Green Beans

1x Defrosted Jorgenz Plant Steak Cut into Strips (Buy here)

1x Onion

1/2 Cup Cherry Tomatoes

1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Parsley to Garnish (optional)

Mix water with Chickpea Flour, Yeast Flakes, Turmeric Powder and Pinch of Salt with a whisk. Let batter sit whilst preparing vegetables. Add oil to frying pan on medium heat and saute onion until onion is translucent add a pinch of salt. Add sliced green beans to pan and defrosted Jorgenz Plant Steak cut into strips. Chop cherry tomatoes in half and add to pan and mix with green beans and onions for 4-5 minutes or until cooked. Put to one side. In another pan add a tablespoon of oil and gently bring to medium heat. Add in chickpea batter. Leave batter for a couple of minutes until cooked on one side, then flip and cook for another couple of minutes. Batter should be cooked throughout. Plate up Chickpea Socca and add vegetables with Jorgenz steak on top. Garnish with parsley and Rock Salt.
